Position Summary
The Quality Control & Inspection Coordinator will be responsible for ensuring that all homewares meet established quality standards and for managing the scheduling and administration of inspection requests. This role serves as a critical liaison between merchandisers, suppliers, and inspection agencies to safeguard product integrity and delivery timelines.
Key Responsibilities
? Perform and/or oversee on-site quality inspections of homewares at supplier facilities, ensuring full compliance with company and client specifications.
? Review product samples, specifications, and test reports to verify adherence to relevant standards, including AQL and other applicable industry norms.
? Coordinate and schedule inspection requests from merchandisers, confirm appointments with third-party inspection agencies or internal inspectors, and monitor progress through completion.
? Maintain accurate inspection records and prepare timely reports for internal stakeholders.
? Identify potential quality issues, recommend corrective actions, and follow up with suppliers to ensure resolution.
? Contribute to the continuous improvement of quality control procedures and documentation.
Qualifications and Experience
? Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in quality control or quality assurance, preferably within the homewares, housewares, or related consumer goods sectors.
? Solid understanding of AQL standards and manufacturing quality processes.
? Excellent organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills; proven ability to manage multiple inspections and deadlines.
? Proficiency in written and spoken English and [local language].
? Willingness to travel to supplier facilities as required.
